Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Nebula and Rocket's Heartwarming Bond

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a movie that continues the story from Avengers: Infinity War and brings closure to a sad event. In Infinity War, the villain Thanos caused great devastation by wiping out half of all life in the universe, and this was especially hard for the Guardians of the Galaxy. Only Rocket and Nebula survived, and the third Guardians movie acknowledges their struggle.

In the movie, Nebula is now a full member of the team and has become a leader because Star-Lord is dealing with the loss of Gamora. Nebula is determined to save Rocket, who was hurt by a character named Adam Warlock. She sees Rocket as family and chooses to help him instead of the version of Gamora from the past. It's a big moment when Nebula, who used to be cold and heartless, shows relief and sheds tears of joy when she learns that Rocket is safe.

Nebula and Rocket had a strong bond during the five years between Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame when they were the only ones left. They went through a lot together and shared their grief over the losses they experienced. It's no wonder that they continue to have a close relationship in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. They both have similar traumatic experiences, having been experimented on and modified against their will. Nebula admits that Rocket's suffering at the hands of the High Evolutionary was even worse than what she endured from Thanos.

Even before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it was clear that Nebula and Rocket had a special connection. In the Guardians' Holiday Special, Nebula gave Rocket the Winter Soldier's metal arm as a gift, showing their bond. Director James Gunn confirmed that Rocket made Nebula a new nanotech arm. Their relationship in the third movie is heartwarming and emotional, demonstrating how much they truly care about each other in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
