The Exorcist: Believer's Set Revealed in New Image
A new image has been released for the upcoming movie called The Exorcist: Believer's set. This film is part of the Exorcist franchise, which started with the famous 1973 movie The Exorcist. The franchise includes sequels, prequels, and a TV spinoff. The new film is directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Blumhouse, and it's the first of a planned trilogy, similar to Green's previous Halloween movies.
The image shows David Gordon Green on the set, which appears to be a dining room in a family's home. On the floor, there is a circle with special meaning, possibly used by the exorcist character in the film to help fight a demon. The presence of the circle in the dining room suggests that the movie may explore new locations and expand beyond the previous films in the franchise.
Recent footage shown at CinemaCon also revealed that The Exorcist: Believer will focus on multiple child possessions that happen within a short period of time. The story revolves around a family led by a desperate father, played by Leslie Odom Jr. When one of his daughters shows signs of possession, he seeks help from the original character Chris MacNeil, portrayed by Ellen Burstyn.
It is unclear if the image represents the home of the family in the movie or another location. However, the film seems to have a broader scope and aims to bring a more mobile and widespread supernatural threat compared to previous entries in the franchise.
The Exorcist: Believer is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 13.
