Netflix Announces Squad Game Season 2 Cast and Plot Details

Squad Game Season 2

Netflix has given an update on Squid Game season 2, two years after the show became popular. They shared this news during their virtual fan convention called Tudum. The original cast members from the first season will return for the second season, including Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byeong-Heon, Wi Ha-Joon, and Gong Yoo. They will play their respective roles again.

The second season of Squid Game will also feature three new cast members: Kang Ha-Neul, Yim Si-Wan, Park Sung-Hoon, and Yang Dong-Geun. We don't know much about their characters yet, but it seems like they will be part of the new Squid Game.

Only the characters who survived the first season will return for the second season. Instead of going back to the previous events, the creator of the show, Hwang Dong-Hyuk, will introduce new players with their own stories. It's not clear how this ties to Seong Gi-Hun's revenge plan, but it's likely that his plan to take down the people behind the underground operation will affect the upcoming games.

Interestingly, the video for Squid Game season 2 already reveals what happens to the character Jun-Ho. He was shot by his own brother after discovering the illegal gaming organization. This suggests that the story of the brothers will continue to be important in the second season. It might even explore Hwang In-Ho's experiences in Squid Game.

We don't know yet if there will be a main character in Squid Game season 2 or if the focus will remain on Gi-Hun. Seeing the salesman back indicates that he will be recruiting new participants for the next Squid Game. Since Netflix has only announced four new cast members, we can expect more casting announcements in the coming months.
