Poco announces MIUI 14 upgrade roadmap for its smartphones in India, starting with Poco X5 Pro 5G

Poco, a Xiaomi sub-brand, has released its roadmap for the MIUI 14 upgrade based on Android 13 for its smartphones in India. The Poco X5 Pro 5G, launched in February 2023 and priced at Rs. 20,999, will be the first device to receive the upgrade in Q1 2023. Xiaomi has redesigned its home screen, introduced bigger folders, newer widgets, and tabular icons as part of its MIUI 14 upgrade. It also includes a feature that automatically compresses lesser-used apps, making the storage and battery consumption more efficient, and enabling users to switch-off notifications of unused apps.

Between April and June 2023, Poco F3 GT, Poco X3 Pro, Poco M5, Poco M4 5G, and Poco C55 will receive the MIUI 14 revamp. Later between July and September, the Poco M4 Pro, Poco X4 Pro 5G, and Poco M4 Pro 5G will also get the software update. The MIUI 14 upgrade is expected to make Xiaomi's custom Android-based operating system smoother and more efficient. The complete roadmap for Xiaomi and Redmi devices in India that will receive the upgrade has already been announced by Xiaomi at the Mobile World Congress 2023 in Barcelona.
