Meg 2 Trailer Reveals Prehistoric Sea Creatures and Over-the-Top Action

 

The trailer for Meg 2: The Trench, a sequel to the 2018 movie The Meg, has been released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The movie sees Jason Statham returning as rescue diver Jonas Taylor, who faces off against a megalodon and other prehistoric sea creatures. The sequel is directed by Ben Wheatley and based on the 1999 novel 'The Trench' by Steve Alten. The trailer shows Jonas and his team exploring the ocean bed in armored suits and facing not only the megalodon but also a giant octopus and a swarm of prehistoric sharks. The megalodon isn't the only creature that has made it closer to the surface, and the movie promises unbridled mayhem with over-the-top action sequences. The film also stars Sienna Guillory and Shuya Sophia Cai. Meg 2: The Trench will be released in theaters on August 4.
