Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra rumored to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and smaller battery than previous model
Samsung is reportedly set to launch the Galaxy Tab S9 series later this year, with three models expected to be released: the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Recent reports suggest that the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which also powers the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series. The device is also expected to have a 10,880mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the battery used in the previous model, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. However, the new chipset is said to be more energy-efficient, which could lead to longer battery life.
In addition, a previous report suggested that Samsung may include an IP67 dust and water resistance rating on the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, which would be a highly anticipated feature for the company's high-end tablets. The release date for the Galaxy Tab S9 series has not yet been confirmed, but it is rumored to launch in the second half of this year, possibly at a second Galaxy Unpacked event.
