Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Release Date
Marvel and James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy film series is entering its third chapter, which takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame and Thor: Love and Thunder. Due to controversial tweets, Gunn was initially fired and the release of the movie was delayed. However, he was later rehired after a few months. Production for the movie commenced in November 2021 and is projected to continue until April 2022.
James Gunn defended his Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 villain, High Evolutionary, played by Chukwudi Iwuji, and made it clear that he won't tolerate racist remarks about his creations. When a user accused DC Studios of using race to select characters that end up being villains, James responded by saying that he chose the best person for the role, regardless of their ethnicity. He emphasized that the person's race was not a factor in his decision.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is scheduled to be released this May, will conclude the trilogy and serve as James' final collaboration with Marvel Studios. Last year, it was announced that he would be partnering with Peter Safran to lead DC Studios.
