Oppo Reno8 T 5G Full Review

The Oppo Reno8 T 5G is a mid-range smartphone that focuses primarily on its aesthetics with a curved display. The phone comes in the Sunrise Gold color variant, which has a glittery finish that makes it eye-catching. The camera module on the back of the phone is inspired by the Huawei P50, with a large circular unit for the primary camera and smaller circular units for the other two cameras. The rest of the phone has a metallic finish that feels premium, despite being made of plastic.

The display on the front of the phone is the highlight, with a 6.7” FHD+ 120Hz curved screen that has slim bezels, making it the main feature of the front of the phone. The colors on the display are vivid, but can be toned down with the "Natural" screen color mode. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 695 processor, which is a mid-range processor that handles everyday tasks well with Oppo's ColorOS optimization.

However, during stress tests and gaming, the phone did not perform as well as expected. The Reno8 T struggled in the stress test, slipping into the red and orange zones, indicating a software optimization issue. Similarly, when playing Call of Duty: Mobile on the highest possible settings, there were micro-stutters, which could also be due to a software optimization issue.

Despite these performance issues, the software on the Oppo Reno8 T 5G is one of its strongest selling points. The phone runs on ColorOS 13, which is well put together and offers a good user experience. Overall, the Oppo Reno8 T 5G is a decent mid-range smartphone that focuses primarily on its aesthetics, but may not be the best option for gamers.
