OnePlus is rumored to be launching a new variant of its Ace 2 smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and a 1.5K flat display, according to a report by MyDrivers citing tipster Digital Chat Station's Weibo post. The new smartphone is expected to be priced lower than the existing OnePlus Ace 2 and OnePlus 11R 5G models. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC found on the standard OnePlus Ace 2 is expected to be replaced by the Dimensity chipset. The triple rear camera setup and 16-megapixel front camera are expected to remain the same as the existing models. OnePlus has not provided any official confirmation of the rumored new variant. The existing Ace 2 and 11R 5G models were launched in China and India, respectively, and feature a 6.74-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display.
