Nothing Phone 1 has released the stable version of its Android 13-based operating system

Nothing, a new technology company, has released the stable version of its Android 13-based operating system, Nothing OS 1.5.2. The update, which was first offered as a beta earlier this year, promises to improve the software experience of the Nothing Phone (1), which will see improved battery life and reduced power consumption, among other changes. The update is being rolled out to beta users first, and will be available to all Nothing Phone (1) users once the company deems it bug-free and stable. The release of the stable version is a step toward fulfilling the company's promise to offer an Android 13 update early this year.

Nothing Founder Pei has stated that the main objective of the update is to improve the software experience of the phone, which is a priority for the company. Pei, who previously worked with OnePlus and built its brand, understands the importance of a fluid software experience. The update is likely to see a wide range of improvements on the device, including a 71% increase in app startup speed and new features for the Glyph interface.

In addition to releasing the stable version of the operating system, Nothing has started hyping its next smartphone, likely to be called the Phone (2). The company plans to bring the device to the US, which was not the case with its first phone. Nothing has also mentioned that the next phone will be targeting the premium segment, which will put it against the OnePlus 11 and the Xiaomi 13 series in the market. The release of Nothing OS 1.5.2 is a step toward fulfilling the company's promise to offer a premium smartphone with an improved software experience.
