Gran Turismo Movie Trailer Introduces Characters and Plot

 

The upcoming Gran Turismo movie, based on the popular video game series, has released its first official trailer, showcasing the plot and characters played by actors Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, and Orlando Bloom. The movie is based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a gamer who became a professional racer after winning the GT Academy competition. The trailer depicts Jann's journey from gaming to racing, arguing with his father about the future prospects and costs of a professional racing career, and adapting to the challenges of competitive racing.

The film highlights the game's focus on realism and simulation, featuring the actual Gran Turismo 7 game and real-world cars and race tracks. The trailer introduces Jack Salter (David Harbour), a racing trainer appointed to prepare a group of young gamers to tackle the very different dynamics of actual car racing, and Danny Moore (Orlando Bloom), a motorsports marketing executive based on the real-life creator and director of GT Academy, Darren Cox. The movie is set to release in theatres on August 11.
