Fast & Furious: Sung Kang Explains Elle's Future and Character Reunions in Upcoming Movies

In the latest Fast & Furious movie, F9, a character named Elle was introduced. She went into hiding with Han, another character who was presumed dead but returned in the movie. At the end of F9, Elle joined Dom Toretto's crew, but her fate in the next movie, Fast X, is unknown.

In an interview, Sung Kang, the actor who plays Han, explained that a scene revealing Elle's whereabouts was filmed but didn't make it into the final cut of the movie. Kang believes that audiences haven't seen the last of Elle and that there will be a reunion between Han, Elle, and another important character named Gisele.

The filmmakers wanted to explore the motivations and background of Han's character and his connection to Elle. They wanted to show that family is an important theme in the Fast & Furious franchise, and every character's story needs to be rooted in that theme. However, due to limited screen time, they couldn't include all the desired moments and interactions between characters like Han, Elle, Gisele, and others.

Elle's name appears on a hit list, indicating that she will likely return in future movies. The next installment, Fast and Furious 11, might focus on the return of Gisele and another character named Luke Hobbs. It could also provide answers about the fates of Deckard Shaw and the Tokyo Drift trio, along with Elle.

With Gisele returning, it's expected that there will be a reunion between her and Han, which could lead to Elle's return as well. Elle might learn that Han is in danger, which could bring Mr. Nobody, another character, out of hiding and contact her about Han's situation.

Fast X intentionally left many unanswered plot threads, including the fates of various characters. The next movie might focus on these characters, including Elle, before they join Dom's crew and face a new threat from Dante. The impact of Elle's return on the franchise will be revealed when the sequel to Fast X releases in theaters in 2025.
