Brad Pitt is set to star in a new Formula One movie directed by Joseph Kosinski, who previously directed "Top Gun: Maverick." The movie will feature an 11th team, with Pitt driving alongside real drivers during actual F1 races. The car has been designed by Mercedes, and the production team is using new camera technology to take viewers inside the cockpit. The film will focus on Pitt returning to the sport after retiring, and "Snowfall" star Damson Idris is also set to star. The production details are still in the early stages, and Pitt is reportedly driving a slower mock-up of an F1 car for safety reasons. The movie will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Plan B Entertainment, and eventually released on Apple TV+ after a theatrical release.
