Fast X: Part 2 set for 2025 release, Vin Diesel confirms at CinemaCon

Vin Diesel confirmed at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas that Fast X: Part 2 will be released in 2025. The film, directed by Louis Leterrier, was originally written as a two-part conclusion to the Fast & Furious saga. Diesel, joined on stage by co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Sung Kang, highlighted that the franchise is now the longest in motion picture history to feature the same actors playing the same characters. Universal Pictures recently released a trailer for Fast X, which includes two new cast members, Brie Larson and Jason Momoa. Momoa plays Dante Reyes, the son of the drug lord taken down by Dom and crew in Fast Five, who has been planning his revenge for the last 12 years. Advance ticket bookings have been available since February for the film, which premieres worldwide on May 19. The movie also features Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron, Daniela Melchior, and Rita Moreno. The plot of Fast X: Part 2 remains unknown, and it is unclear whether Leterrier will continue the Dom v Dante story or introduce a new villain for the finale.
