Oppo has launched a budget 5G smartphone, the Oppo A1x 5G, in China. The phone comes in two storage configurations, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, priced at CNY 1399 (roughly Rs. 16,700) and CNY 1599 (roughly Rs. 19,100) respectively. It features a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and DCI-P3 colour gamut support. The phone is powered by an entry-level MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC and runs Android 12 with ColorOS 12 on top. It has a dual rear camera unit consisting of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait lens, along with an 8-megapixel front camera. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports Wi-Fi 5, GPS, and has a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock. The Oppo A1x 5G weighs around 186 grams and measures 163.8mm x 75.1mm x 7.99mm. The phone is available in Quite Sea Blue and Starry Sky Black colour options.
