Marvel's Spider-Man 2 set to release in September, featuring Venom as antagonist
Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the sequel to the popular 2018 game, is set to release in September according to a tweet from Venom voice actor Tony Todd. This puts the game in direct competition with Bethesda's upcoming space RPG, Starfield. The game sees the return of voice actors Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter as Peter Parker and Miles Morales, respectively, and promises new suits, villains, and dialogue technology. The game's antagonist is teased to be Venom, possibly inhabited by Harry Osborn. The game will be exclusive to the PS5. Insomniac Games, the developer of Spider-Man 2, is also working on a standalone Wolverine game led by creative director Brian Horton and game director Cameron Christian. Insomniac's Spider-Men will also make an appearance in the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse movie.
