Netflix has announced the release date for its upcoming limited series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, with a teaser trailer dropped on Tuesday. The show will debut on May 4, 2023, and will be a prequel to the popular Bridgerton series, telling the story of Queen Charlotte's rise to power and how her marriage to King George sparked societal change. Golda Rosheuvel will star as the titular queen, while India Amarteifio will play a young Charlotte. The series will also feature returning actors from Bridgerton, such as Adjoa Andoh and Ruth Gemmell. Arsema Thomas and Corey Mylchreest will be making their TV debuts as young Agatha Danbury and King George, respectively.
