Poco India has confirmed the launch of its latest smartphone, the Poco C55, on 21 February in India. The phone had previously been teased in a short promotional video and spotted on certification websites. It is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C, which was released in China in January as the successor to the Redmi 10C. The Redmi 12C is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and is sold in three storage configurations, with a maximum of 128GB storage, and four colour variants. It has a 6.71-inch HD+ display with 500 nits peak brightness and a hybrid dual SIM slot. It also has a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a dew-drop notch on the front. The Redmi 12C is expected to be released as a global variant soon. The Poco C55 will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 12pm noon on the day of its launch.
