Eoin Morgan, the former England cricket captain, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket at 36 years old. He led England to their 2019 World Cup win on home soil and was a successful white-ball captain, with 126 ODIs and 72 T20s as skipper and 118 wins across the two formats. Morgan made his ODI debut with Ireland at 16 and later switched to England in 2009. He played 248 ODIs and 115 T20Is, scoring 10,159 runs in total and 700 runs in 16 tests. He stated that he believes now is the right time to retire and spend more time with his loved ones.
