Nubia Z50 Ultra Specs and Launch Teased Ahead of March 7 Event

ZTE-owned smartphone brand Nubia is set to unveil the Nubia Z50 Ultra in China on March 7. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone has allegedly appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website, revealing its possible key specifications. The listing suggests that the Nubia Z50 Ultra could run on Android 13 and may be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It also indicates up to 12GB of RAM on the device. The Nubia Z50 Ultra has scored 1,494 points in single-core testing and 5,121 points in multi-core testing.


The upcoming smartphone is confirmed to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1,440Hz PWM frequency and an under-display 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is also teased to have a bionic cooling system with a 41442mm square cooling area for thermal management and to use a new NeoVision computational photography technology.


Nubia is promoting the design and specifications of the Nubia Z50 Ultra on Weibo, and the launch event will begin at 2:00 pm local time (11:30 am IST) on March 7. The Nubia Z50 Ultra is expected to be a gaming-focused smartphone.
