New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game in Development Based on The Last Ronin Graphic Novels
Paramount Global is reportedly developing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game based on the graphic novel series The Last Ronin. The game will be a third-person, single-player action game aimed at mature audiences and similar in vein to Sony PlayStation's God of War titles. The game will follow the lone surviving turtle as he seeks revenge for his fallen brothers, with players able to swap between their weapons. The release date and developer for the game are currently unknown. The Last Ronin video game will likely release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
Doug Rosen, senior VP for games and emerging media at Paramount Global, stated that there are opportunities for several TMNT games aimed at both younger and older audiences. The franchise has seen a recent resurgence with the release of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and The Cowabunga Collection.
Additionally, a new animated movie called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is set to be released, featuring stylised art and animation similar to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The movie follows the turtles as they venture to the surface to win the hearts of New Yorkers and features a star-studded cast including Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, and Maya Rudolph.
More information about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin video game is expected to be released in the coming months and years.
